Pimbo NWCR Road Race

A miserable day at the Pimbodrome saw the E/1/2 race kick off early with Declan representing LCRC & Thomas Stewart present for the Academy. Declan got in an early move (same as it ever was) which unfortunately came to nothing. The race was eventually won by a solo rider from Durham Uni with a small break a couple of minutes behind. Declan rolled in with the bunch on a day when about half the field retired (inc. Thomas unfortunately).
Andy Brookfield & Chris Finnan were in the 3/4 race with Eze Okoku also there as an Academy rider. The day hadn’t brightened up much, and despite a few digs off the front by Andy nothing stuck. It came down to a bunch sprint with Eze & Andy both finishing mid field, with Chris retiring a few laps before the end due to common sense.
