Race type: Cyclo-cross
Location: Blakemere Village
Date: 21 October, 2018
A perfect day (until the heavy rain at the end) for the inaugural Port Sunlight Wheelers/ CUDD Cross cyclocross race at Blakemere Village. It was a fantastic venue and a fun course that everyone seemed to enjoy. The beer tent and plentiful tasty food might have had something to do with it….
Erin Corringan finished an excellent 2nd in the U16G category whilst Harry Roberts produced another battling performance in the same race. Graham Prentice finished 14th in the O50s raced with Mick Loughran (34th) and Pete Leadbetter (46th) putting in solid rides. Ian Kendall (32nd) and Mike Fugaccia (48th) again finished well in the O40s race. Finally Graeme Veevers finished in the top 50 of the senior race…a ride that was highlighted by getting some amazing air over the barriers that just about didn’t end in disaster!
