The Chester RC ‘25’ on Prees was tackled today by Chris Reynolds, Kate Giddings, Alex Nurse, Andy Bennett (in his Bioracer guise), Peter Grindley and me. The weather was almost (but not quite) ideal, with a light southerly wind meaning a tailwind on the way out and a headwind home. Mixed fortunes from the Century riders; most notable performance was Kate with a 61:13 for first lady. Chris improved his PB by 10 s with a 59:23, Andy did a 57:43, I managed a course best of 57:59, Peter did a 62:54 which improves his recent best by 2:35, but Alex managed to hit one of the many potholes littering the A41 part of the course and punctured, when he was possibly on for a ‘sub-60’.
