At short notice we have had to relocate our club night to Tarbock Village Hall every Thursday 7-9.
See details below from Membership Secretary, Ian Watson.
"Tarbock Village Hall ticks a lot of boxes and most of us will have fond memories of meeting there. We will not be dependent on others for access, we can take bikes inside, we can have turbo sessions, etc., the car park is adjacent, the facilities are good, we can store our box there, new members will find us more easily and the hall is convenient for members to visit for refreshments and a chat on club nights before and/or after rides.
Please note that we still can and will hire the track on an as and when required basis, but you will be aware that there have been many problems with the track for a year or two in terms of it being out of service and demand has been low too. In any event we will not be allowed to use the school building.
Also, there is no reason why club runs cannot continue to start and finish at the Leisure Centre car park as has been the norm for a few years.
Your committee appreciates that no one venue or night is ever going to suit absolutely everyone but from the very limited choices available at such short notice we feel that Tarbock on Thursdays is by far the best option, hopefully permanently and certainly for the time being.
Lastly, it would be great to see more members turning up on club nights, it’s sociable and it’s a good opportunity to discuss ideas and improvements."
Editor's Note - This seems like a great opportunity for a cuppa and a chat after the South Liverpool Chain Gang ride. No cakes though, it's race season...
