Summary of the 2011-2012 cross season
After a total of 16 races spread all over the NW and North Wales the final standings are as follows;
31 Ian Kendall (12 races)
87= Geraint Parry (8 races)
148 Graeme Fugaccia (2 Races)
Under 12 League (inc all other age groups)
22 - Sam Kendall (1st U8 12 races)
29 - Charlotte Kendall (2nd U8 9 races)
39 - Brendan Thompson (15th U12 5 races)
76= - George Elliott (31st only 1 Race)
All of the above riders have done brilliantly, as the league has no handicapping or split categories, so your in with the best of the NW and National trophy riders. Ian has had a tough season so his 31st overall is a real credit to his determination. He truly deserved the Cyclocross Champion 2011 he was awarded with, especially after ensuring his 2 keen kids completed their events....no fancy warm ups on rollers for this dad! Speaking of Dad's another Century parent who's name I only know as 'DAD' (after asking his son his name) rode the St Helen's race at Lady of the Manor.
Plus Ian Kendall rode the North of England Championships where he came 32nd.
Another highlight was our own event, seen by many as one of the best races in the NW and for some the rest of the UK.
